The Challenge: Modernise the Dated Exterior of 2 Semis in Milton Keynes
We loved working on this exterior decorating project in Milton Keynes recently, transforming 2 semi-detached homes. Both properties were beginning to show their age and were suffering from a worn-out pebbledash finish and faded paint, resulting in a lackluster appearance.
What was really different about this job was that we would be working on the entire property – two houses – and had the opportunity to really showcase our talents in external decoration.
Breathing New Life into a Dated Finish
Our work began with a thorough deep clean of the entire building which, as anyone who’s ever tackled a pebbledash wall will know, is no easy task but hugely important.
After that, the RS team meticulously sealed up all the doors, windows, external drains and architectural features to ensure a flawless finish.
With everything clean and sealed, we set about the crowning glory of the job, the application of two coats of high-quality, heavy-duty external paint in a light sand color. This carefully selected shade not only complemented the properties, but also imparted a fresh and modern aspect, significantly enhancing the curb appeal of both properties and unifying the design of both homes.
The transformation exceeded even our own expectations, leaving both sets of homeowners thrilled with the final outcome. Their previously drab and dated houses now boasted stylish exteriors, that really stand out in the neighborhood.
