Kitchen Makeover & Unit Reprays
We wanted to share this recently completed kitchen makeover and painting job for a family home in Milton Keynes. The owners were looking to refresh their kitchen and make it feel more modern and inviting.
One of the key elements of the project was to respray existing kitchen units – and give them a fresh, contemporary look.
For this interior decorating job, we worked closely with the family to determine their vision for the kitchen. We decided on a color scheme of warm, neutral tones that would create a modern and inviting atmosphere. With a young family growing up fast, we recommended using high-quality paint and our famous kitchen unit respraying technique to ensure a smooth, durable and long-lasting finish.
The first step was to remove all the cabinet doors and hardware, take them away and clean them thoroughly. Working from our studio, we then sanded down the surfaces to create a smooth and even base for the paint. Next, we applied a primer coat to the doors to help the paint adhere better and create a really deep and rich finish.
After the primer was dry, we sprayed a double coat of paint in the family’s preferred off-white tone. The paint we used was chosen for its durability and chip resistance. Once the doors were painted and fully dry, we reattached the hardware.
The result was a stunning transformation of the space. The resprayed kitchen unit doors looked brand new and blended seamlessly with the other painted surfaces in the room. The warm, neutral colour of the walls created a contemporary and inviting atmosphere that the family loved.
Overall, we were thrilled with how the kitchen paint job turned out. The family was over the moon with results too and couldn’t believe how much of a difference a fresh coat of paint could make.
